People living in an ICF typically require long term care, and have a higher level of need related to medical or behavioral complexities. Clinical supports are provided on-site through an interdisciplinary team process. An ICF is regulated by the NYS Department of Health through an annual auditing process by the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
