Overview

Camp Loyaltown is a residential camp for children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.  Weekly Compensation $550. The Night Watch Staff oversee the buildings and grounds of Camp Loyaltown during the night hours in an effort to safeguard staff and campers. Night Watch follows Department of Health protocols as aligned with Camp Loyaltown procedures.

Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities inculde but not limited to:

 

  • Practices and promotes the agencies’ mission statements in every interaction. Through family and community engagement, Citizens supports people to live the life they choose.
  • Adheres to all regulations, agency policy and procedures, the employee handbook, and agency and program training requirements
  • Reports to the Justice Center as a mandated reporter if there is reasonable cause to suspect abuse or neglect.  Additionally, must follow all agency incident policy and procedures.
  • Ensures the safety of the facility overnight. Reporting any incidents to the administrative staff on duty and to the facility Assistant Director/Camp Director.
  • Responsible for checking all Camp Loyaltown facilities during the overnight to ensure there are no safety or health hazards. Monitor the assigned area to ensure that no campers have left their cabins in a 15-minute interval and fill out appropriate documentation.
  • Uphold and ensure the implementation of all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of Camp Loyaltown.
  • Secure all areas of camp, checking that all areas are locked.
  • Each hour, check all front and side alarms of all cabins and document it appropriately. If not follow procedure for head counts and waking of cabin staff.
  • Report any concerns to the Camp Director promptly in accordance with the Citizens Code of Conduct.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Requires successful completion of all OPWDD required background checks.
