Overview

Camp Loyaltown is a large residential summer camp for children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.  Weekly Compensation $550.The Camp Loyaltown Driver is required to drive when the need arises in a safe and efficient manner. This may include drop off and pick up of staff, as well as camper trips to the doctor’s office or hospital. Driving will be 6 days a week on an on-call basis. Shifts will be arranged with the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsbilities include but not limited to:

 

  • Practices and promotes the agencies’ mission statements in every interaction.Through family and community engagement, Citizens supports people to live the life they choose.
  • Adheres to all regulations, agency policy and procedures, the employee handbook, and agency and program training requirements.
  • Reports to the Justice Center as a mandated reporter if there is reasonable cause to suspect abuse or neglect. Additionally, must follow all agency incident policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for transporting campers to and from the doctor’s office and hospital.
  • Familiarization with AHRC/Citizens Vehicle policy including trips records and mileage reports.
  • Drive staff for day off trips if approved by the director and no other trips are scheduled.
  • Drivers must remain on Camp Property while on duty
  • Uphold and ensure the implementation of all Camp Loyaltown policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and report any infractions should they occur to the camp director.
  • Be friendly, pleasant, and professional at all times.
  • Perform all other functions as requested by the Camp Director or Assistant Directors
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to read road maps, use a GPS, and follow directions.
  • Must maintain a qualified driving status according to agency policy.
  • Requires successful completion of all OPWDD required background checks.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

 Physical aspects may include but are not limited to the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
