Provides ongoing care and assistance to participants by providing for individual dietary needs. Responsible for the adequate inventory, storage and preparation of snacks/meals to meet participant dietary needs and likes. Responsible for weekly shopping in accordance with prescribed diets. Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen and inventory of related items.

2. Ensures participant health and safety by ensuring correct portions and food consistency are served and through the use of appropriate adaptive equipment................................................................................. 10%

Responsible for overall kitchen cleanliness & operation by performing daily household chores (i.e. empties garbage, sweeps/mops floor, cleans pots/pans, counter tops, ovens, etc.) and through the request to repair necessary items for maintenance of a sanitary environment and good appearance........................................................................................................................................ 10%
5. Responsible for completion of HACCP and kitchen safety training........................................ 10%
6. Maintains an adequate inventory of food to meet participant needs by the daily restocking of refrigerator and cabinets.......................................................................................................................................... 5%

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Prior cooking experience required.  Experience working with the developmentally disabled preferred.
